Surfing, golf, nature, swimming - it's all right on your doorstep when you stay at this beautiful villa between the glorious beach at Lacanau and the lake. Villa Samasti also has its own pool, for those days when you'd just rather take it easy. The villa is 150 metres from the start of the golf course.
Set in the wooded golf course in the Landes area, less than an hour from Bordeaux, this spacious home has a real holiday feel about it, and would be perfect for a family group of up to eight people. The surrounding pine trees make the villa feel very private and, but there are shops and plenty of restaurants nearby and it's a pleasant cycle along dedicated paths to the beach, just 4km away.
With so much going on within a few miles of Villa Samasti, it's the perfect choice for a group with varied interests, or for an active family who want to fill every day with fun.
The property ...
This detached property surrounded by pine forests has plenty of room for up to eight people in four bedrooms, with three bathrooms.
The main entrance will take you to the first floor, where you will find a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom. This floor is also home to the laundry and integral garage.
The main living area, on the floor below, is open plan. There's a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a seating area which are all decorated in blues, whites and greens, giving it a real oceanside feel. Furniture is simple, and the room is cool, light and airy - perfect for those long, hot, summer days.
The living area opens on to the wraparound covered deck - a shady place to relax with a book and a cool drink. For more sunshine, move down to the pool area and stretch out on a sunbed next to the water - pure bliss. The 8x4m pool is a good size for simply cooling off or a bit of a workout.
There are two double bedrooms on this floor, as well as a shower room with double sinks. The master bedroom is on the second floor, and has its own balcony overlooking the pool and the golf course beyond. There's also a lovely attic bedroom above this.
The wooded grounds of Villa Samasti offer plenty of opportunity to find a secluded spot to get away from it all, or for parties around the pool. If you like to eat al fresco, choose between the shaded terrace or the poolside, both are furnished.

About the area ...
Villa Samasti is an holiday property in the heart of Lacanau's magnificient golf course (Ardilouse international UGOLF) . It's just 4km to the beach at Lacanau-Ocean on the Côte d’Argent - a mecca for surfers, windsurfers and kitesurfers. There are several surf schools here too, so beginners can book up a few lessons before they go it alone. The international surfing competition, the Lacanau Pro, takes place here every August - it's a great chance to see how it's really done.
A similar distance in the opposite direction will bring you to Lacanau lake, which is popular with nature-lovers, cyclists, walkers and bird-watchers. This large lake also has areas for sailing and watersports such as stand-up paddleboarding. For the ultimate in relaxation, why not try a yoga class on a paddleboard?
Golfers won't have far to go to practise their sport - Villa Samasti overlooks a superb 18-hole golf course, and there are two other courses close by. The villa is also close to restaurants, a spa resort, a tree-top adventure park and a riding centre, so there really is something for everyone!
The fragrant pine forests surrounding the villa are crisscrossed with walking and cycle paths. Bikes can be hired locally, and several companies will deliver them to your villa.

The OVO Network Review
This pretty villa would comfortably suit groups of up to eight people, and covers 110m2 of floor space over three levels. It has a private outdoor pool and views across the golf course at Lacanau.
Situated just a five-minute cycle from the Atlantic Ocean and the fantastic surfing to be had along this part of the coast, and a 50 minute drive from the airport at Bordeaux, Villa Samasti is in a great location. There is good access to the cycle paths that criss cross the nearby pine forests and National Park in this part of Les Landes.
There are also great sailing and wind surfing possibilities, as well as fresh water fishing, canoeing and kayaking, in the nearest lake.
The private outdoor pool is a must for those lazy hot summer days, the grounds of the villa are a fabulous playground for kids.
The villa is comprised of four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The main living space opens up onto a large verandah with BBQ, surrounded by mature trees which provide much appreciated shade and privacy.
The balcony of the master bedroom,on the first floor, has superb views across the golf course. The property is available to rent this summer as seen in the photos provided by the owners.
The owners purchsed the property recently and will continue with further renovations to make the holiday experience even more fabulous!
There is plenty of parking, and a garage where bikes can be securely stored. There is direct access onto the golf links at the club at Lacanau (sometimes also referred to as the Golf de l' Ardilouse)
The 18 hole course is over 50 hectares, and is one of the most respected clubs in Aquitaine. It's quite a technically diverse course, with superbly tended fairways and quick greens, stunning scenery and fresh air thanks to the proximity to the Ocean.
A pro shop, and the possibility of lessons should please golfing novices as well as established players.
The mild ocean climate, fabulous surfing beaches offering a whole host of water sports, the natural beauty of the local lakes, and the majestic beauty of the Nature Reserves and pine forests make Villa Samasti an ideal choice for families and for groups of friends, all year round.

For many years, we have wanted to buy a house by the ocean, which would be a place where we could get together with friends and family.
While we were on holiday in Lacanau, we fell in love with this exceptional place, which has plenty to do for all ages and tastes.
We were enchanted by this villa in amongst the pines, and overlooking the golf course and just a few minutes by bike from the village, the lake and the ocean.
It is a place where we can recharge our batteries in the peace and quiet, amongs the inquisitive birds and the deer.
We look forward to sharing this place with those who are looking to get close to nature, traditional values and, if they wish, a sporting holiday.

This is a perfectly placed and utterly amazing house. Right on the golf course and surrounded by pine trees (but always drenched in sun - not shade) this is such an epic place. I can't think of a better place to stay in Lacanau as you're half way between the lake and the Ocean - both of which are 15 min bike ride or 35 min walk. Brilliant house, staff were great and would absolutely love to return again in the future.
